Contribute to The Enfield Talking Newspaper 

Every week we read articles from The Enfield Independent and other locally produced publications. We also carry local sports club reports and events information. Every six months we aim to produce a "Magazine" featuring original content by or about people living in Enfield. Today our Magazine is edited, produced, introduced and distributed by Keith and Diane de Jersey who welcome contributions from individuals, clubs and school groups. Our Magazine has a long history and started in the days when the North London Tape Club produced the Talking Newspaper. You can listen to our Magazine audio archive on our YouTube Channel. 

 

Some ideas of how you might be able to help are set out below: 

 

 

Our listeners like hearing about the performance of local clubs on our weekly broadcast. If you have a match report you want to share then email it to enfieldtn@hotmail.com

  

Our listeners live all over Enfield, from Ponders End to New Southgate and everywhere in between. We trawl local listings websites for events information that might be of interest to our listeners and their families. If you have an event in Enfield you would like us to broadcast on our weekly edition please send us details (at least two weeks in advance) to enfieldtn@hotmail.com 

 

We carry information from local and national organisations that will be of interest to blind and partially sighted people. If you have a notice you would like us to broadcast on our weekly edition please send us details (at least two weeks in advance) to enfieldtn@hotmail.com 

 

Every six months we produce a "Magazine" edition featuring original content - stories and interviews read and recorded by local people, including our listeners. Recent submissions have included favourite recipes, reports of interesting places that our listeners have visited as well as interviews with local people. We love featuring stories about everyday life in our amazing borough as well as news about wonderful people doing fantastic things! If you have an idea for a story or have a script you would like us to read please email it to us. We can loan a digital recorder for you to conduct interviews. Full training provided! We welcome DoE volunteers. Several of our volunteers are DBS checked. We welcome audio articles contributed by schools and colleges for our "Magazine" edition.
